Abstract
This paper presents the results of the research that focused on the relations between the expectations of teachers about the performance in texts writing of their students and the teaching situations in classrooms in public schools in Recife. These expectations goes through the interpersonal relationships, and in education, it has been pointed out that there is a strong relationship between the expectations of teachers and the teaching and learning processes. Three teachers from the first years took part on the study, as well as their students in three different schools, by observance of teaching situations of text writing produced in videos, being recorded 88 hours of classes and semi-structured interviews. With both microgenetic and contents analysis of the maps of events and of some situational clippings, we investigate the development of the texts writing activities and the discursive interactions between teachers and their students, and to reveal concepts, feelings and both positive and negative expectations that lie behind the practices and which have implications for the participation, interventions and performance of the students.
