Abstract

The objective of this work is to contribute to the reflection on the relationship between narrative, narrative research, imagination and teacher training, present the principles of narrative research as research practice and training, discuss the epistemological dimensions, methodological and training of life histories in the context of teacher education in the daily life of an educational institution, and (re) think the school organization considering its cultural dimension, in which they carry out the symbolic practices of organizing social reality. I intend to speak of the profound contribution that complexity, narrative research and symbolic universe can bring to the construction of a school culture more authentic, more dynamic, happier and more human / sensitive. The theoretical and methodological principles of research anchored in Edgar Morin´s epistemology of complexity, in Gilbert Durand´s Anthropology of the Imaginary and intend to show how educational practices are maintained, modified or
inhibited by the dynamics of culture and the dominant imaginary institution.
