Abstract

Hermeneutics is a philosophical movement that focuses on the problem of interpretation. The interpretation is now understood as the mode of being of the human being and as the mode of being of reality: if we can interpret the reality is because reality is like a text or as a language that could be interpreted. Interpretation and language are therefore leitmotiv of Hermeneutics. Our contribution aims to show the importance of symbol in this context. Thus philosophical hermeneutics opens to a hermeneutics of culture that is organized in the tension between a matristic symbolic and a patriarchal symbolic and seeks the mediation of a fraternal symbolic.
