Abstract

This research aims to verify how is the process of choosing textbooks by teachers and how they see the statistic approach in this material. For this, we applied a questionnaire to high school teachers who do masters of mathematics at the Federal University of Sergipe. The data analysis technique was content analysis with descriptive statistics. In the process of choosing, the Textbook Guide is not present, so, the most common way for adoption of the collection is the harassment of publishers or objective criteria adopted by teachers. In the opinion of most respondents, the textbook addresses Statistic in a partially satisfactory way, because it has a summarized content and it helps in the development of projects involving data collection.
