GAMING, BODY PRACTICES AND THE PROCESS OF FORMATION OF THE SUBJECT/CRITIC

Abstract

Gaming is a social phenomenon practiced widely by subjects, regardless of age or social position they occupy in society. However, in the modernity, there is an intensification of the game as sports practice (sportivized games), which will be our analyses focus. Our results point that the liking of the gaming practice is something regardless of age or social position the subject occupies in society. Our conclusion is that the choice of the game by the subject might be conscious and relating to our likes we may chose a certain type of game. However, in this choice are present unconscious determinants, of which the subject is unaware. This choices made by the likes of the subject let him to invest in certain affections that could allow him or not to elaborate his own existence and condition of his seld – the process of formation  of the subject/critic.
