THE PRODUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE CONTEXT OF A CRITICAL-TRANSFORMING PRACTICE WITH TEACHER EDUCATORS
Abstract
The arcticle reports a research developed with teacher educators in the workshop “Change is difficult, but it is possible and urgent”, the empirical field of a thesis, carried out with a group of twelve educators, Master’s degree students of a Graduate course in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The research methodology was characterized as a formative-intervention, developed within the workshop, in which the thematic investigation (FREIRE, 1987) was developed in three moments: reading of reality, critical analysis of reality and elaboration of proposals for action. The data produced emerged from three sources: actions carried out at the workshop, reports from the participating educators about their in-service teacher education practices and selected documents for understanding the object and context of the research. The results of the research were evidenced throught the constrution and production of theoretical and practical knowledge, in na active and reflexive way.
