Abstract

This case study seeks to analyze the impacts of an innovative classtoom technique, the World Café. The objective is to verify if this active methodology is able to interfere significantly in the motivation and intrest of the students, intensifying their proactivity in the search and solutions for the challanges proposed by the teacher in classroom. The data, tich served to base the empirical part of the research, come from a semiopen questionnaire, with quantitative and qualitative content analysis, supported by the categorization of data produces by feedback of the students of the involved class. The resulto f this investigative process leads to believe that World Café can be considered na efficient srategy. Based on the experience presentd, faced with a specific theoretical framework, it was possible to identify significant contributions in the teaching-learning process from unconventional methods in the classroom.
