Abstract

The articulation between training and the world of work has guided the present study which aimed to analyze educative aspects of a technical course in nursing and the implications on the work of its graduates. Semistructured interviews were conducted with graduates, their immediate supervisors, the coordinator of the course and pedagogues. The testimonials were treated by Content Analysis according to the categories educational process and work. Format, content and course teaching staff were, in general, highly rated by graduates. The importance of integration between moments of concentration and dispersion for the gradual construction of knowledge and the difficulties of adding to daily work knowledge, skills and experiences constructed during the educational process, were highlighted. We have considered that Permanent Health Education is a way to overcome these difficulties.
