Abstract

Based on the dialogue between Sociology, Philosophy and History, this article aims to discuss theoretical and practical aspects that can induce na efficient management of the divergences regarding ideas and attitudes that manifest themselves in the school and that result from interactions that involve the whole school community. The arcticle develops arguments that reveal values and positions that defini Brazilian’s performance in the public and in Professional arenas, in order to find a consensual and emancipatory orientation that serves the school community to deal with the affirmation of multiple interests and, often, complex harmonization. The arcticle claims the need to confront the debate about differences of thought and behavior in the school environment whithout breaking the ethical standards that contribute to the intellectual and professional maturation of the whole school community. The school can be na instance of political education, allowing the confrontation of ideas and attitudes through the exercise of tolerance, in na environment where there is independent refletion, detached from personalistic commitments and far from the logic of conflict resolution proper to the familial relationship
