STUDY ON THE OFFER OF SUBJECTS THAT INCLUDE NEUROSCIENCES IN THEIR RELATION TO EDUCATION IN THE ON-SITE PEDAGOGY GRADUATION COURSES

Abstract

This study aims to analyze corriculums from in-class Pedagogy graduation courses in Rio Grande do Sul (RS) in order to identify which Higher Education Institutions (HEI) offer subjects related to the Neurosciences in their relations to Education in such courses. It also intends to verify the relevance attributed, by the courses coordinators, to neuroscientific knowledge to teacher’s initial training. The research was conducted through a qualitative methodology which consisted of literature and documental reviews, as well as application of a questionnaire to the courses coordinators. The results indicate that, although the reviews poins to the relevance of neuroscientific knowledge to teacher’s training, subjects related to the Neuroscience in their relations to Education still offered by a restrict number of HEI in RS.
