Abstract

In the year in which Paulo Freire’s centennial is celebrated (1921-2021), his legacy is increasingly essential both for the world of education and for the worlds that yearn for the humanizing search of peoples in constant self(trans)formation. Re-cognizing the history of this author; his mobilizations and praxis in fraternities with peoples and the world; this is what moves us to write this and calls upon us to celebrate the life of the he who is the greatest educator of all times, not only in Brazil, but in the world. Paulo Freire calls us to be more, not denying our conditions, he invites us to life, acknowledging and taking up what we have been sociohistorically. His wanderings constituted a commitment to the abundant proclamation in defense of a dignified life, bearing witness that through and in education we become better people.
