Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the perceptions of 15 female pre-school teachers who participated in a continuous training program with 12 yoga practices aimed to improve physical, psychological, attitudinal and relational aspects. This is a qualitative study based on action research. Data were collected by questionnaire, focus group and field diary. It is concluded that yoga can be one of the strategies to be used in the context of continuing education, because it is a powerful experience in the sense of awakening teachers for the discovery and development of their own bodies and the construction of new knowledge around them, focusing on personal development in teaching.
