PERFORMANCE AND ALIGNMENTS OF THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF SECRETARIES OF EDUCATION - CONSED WITH MOVEMENTS FOR THE INTERNATIONALIZATION OF EDUCATION
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the performance trajectory of the National Council of State Secretaries of Education - CONSED, and the influences of movements for internationalization on its speeches and actions. The article characterizes the action of the Council, especially the discursive meanings that shape its institutional representation, highlighting recent alignments with private sectors and with supranational entities that promote and diffuse internationalization with focus on Basic Education. CONSED is a national entity that represents the Basic Education systems of Brazilian states in various realms. The study reveals that these approximations are expanding rapidly and in different ways, promoting new relations of the entity with public school networks. This is a qualitative study based on data from primary sources.
