Abstract

This article discusses the teaching work in Brazilian public basic education, under the bias of precarization and entrepreneurship in progress, focusing on the temporary and eventual hiring of teachers, as well as the tendencies of outsourcing, pejotization and uberization, which have arisen in recent years. It presents analyzes of statistical data at national level and of public and official documents of municipal and state secretariats of education, as well as establishes a dialogue with other researches on the subject that allowed to situate such atypical hiring in the neoliberal historical block and in the process of entrepreneurship of education. It shows that this process erodes the teaching career, weakens the collective political capacity of teachers and submits the teacher to increasingly precarious working conditions, promoting their disqualification with a view to their requalification within the business logic.
