Abstract

The objective of this work is to visualize and analyze writing practices linked to the family context of children in a 2nd year elementary school class at a municipal school in Porto Alegre, RS, with a focus on genres and textual supports in circulation at the moment. With respect to the broader objective, at the end of the current text, we seek to relate such practices and genres to the fields of action introduced in the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC) and raise pedagogical possibilities for working with textual genres at school in view of the practices of writing referred to by the children. The research developed is characterized by being qualitative and the methodological approach applied for data generation was carried out through a focus group consisting of twelve children who are part of the targeted group. As a final consideration, it is argued that the genres in the field of everyday life allow children, especially those from the lower classes, to establish closer relationships with school practices.
