Abstract

This paper presents the design methodology em

ployed for the creation of a picture book adaptation
of the philosophical essay Albert Camus’ The Myth
of Sisyphus (2018), the practical outcome of the
Illustrated Sisyphean Course Conclusion Work
(BUENO, 2019). In addition, this article briefly
discusses the interaction between design and art
in the picture book universe. Based on literature
review and documentary research, the main purpo

se of this text is, in short, to serve as a reference for
those who wish to better understand the process of
creating this type of book, or who want to effecti

vely develop their own.
