Abstract

There is a movement of the Mathematical Modeling in Mathematics Education Brazilian community towards achievement of meta-comprehensive or meta-analytical studies. In this context, under the question: what evidence the main constituent elements of a scientific work in articles presented at the III SIPEM? we undertook one meta-comprehensive study. The main objective is to explain what evidence the items for the categories established a priori: research problem, objective, results, study design, data analysis methodologies, methodology authors and Modeling authors. Therefore, we undertook a qualitative content analysis, with the Atlas t.i. software, of the articles published in the event. It notes the need for greater methodological rigor as well as further studies on theoretical and epistemological aspects related to research, Modeling and Mathematics Education.
