Abstract

This work is a revision of narrative type and is segmented into three topics with different but complementary objectives. The first topic is characterized by the exposition of perspectives of cultural coexistence, the second is concerned with discussing the possibility of a critical pedagogical treatment of Art according to the multicultural and intercultural perspectives. The third topic, on its trurn, is related to dance and seeks to reflect upon the viability of its folk elements to work towards cultural diversity. Based on the presented considerations, the authors conclude that: there is a difference between the treatment of Art teaching when considering the two perspectives of cultural coexistence and that working with folk dances enables recognition and interaction regarding cultural diversity.
